The Tor/Forge Blog has just published a post where I talk about poetry in various books of mine.
The link is Once a Poet
Lee,
There are times when my brain speaks in poetic language but I have not background in poetry. Other than reading poets (which I do now and then) can you suggest a good book that will lead me gently into understanding the craft of writing poetry?
I’d suggest either A Poetry Handbook by Mary Oliver or Poetry Handbook: A Dictionary of Terms by Babette Deutsch.
